See and Do

LOCATED WITHIN THE EAST NEUK OF FIFE

Kilrenny Mill Coastal Escapes are placed in the heart of the East Neuk of Fife (Neuk is an Old Scots word for ‘nook’ or ‘corner’) which is well established for comprising endless picturesque coastlines and charming fishing villages.

Our holiday apartments are situated directly on the Fife Coastal Path providing a walking link to other Fife coastal villages and towns including Crail, Elie and St Andrews. While exploring the trail, don’t miss the adorable highland cows by the sea – just 10 minutes from our properties on the route to Crail.

Cellardyke tidal pool is just yards from the doorstep; a popular spot for open water swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking.

Situated adjacent to us is the historic harbour town of Anstruther which is home to unique local shops, restaurants (including a Michelin-starred restaurant, The Cellar) and some of the best fish and chips shops! During the summer months there are also regular boat trips to the Isle of May where you can see Puffins and seal colonies.

We are fortunate to be located on the doorstep of Anstruther where there are daily boat trips between April and September to the Isle of May.

The trip on the boat lasts around 4.5 hours in total, including 2.5-3 hours ashore on the Island. If the weather allows, enjoy a slow circumference of the Island on the boat which provides visitors an opportunity to witness spectacular scenery and wonderful wildlife from the sea. Dolphins often display an amazing show!
